Mark your calendars for 25-28 September 2024 because in a weeks time, it’s that time of year again for one of the world’s most anticipated international boat shows – the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS)! Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, this year’s event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about superyachts. With vessels having recently finished their summer season, over 120 yachts will be attending, averaging 50 meters in length and some exceeding 100 meters. Many yachts are fresh releases, with around 40 new builds debuting.
MYS is a great boat show if you are involved in the industry. Whether you’re crew, a broker, interested in chartering, or even in the market to buy, there’s no better place to be during these dates! The gates to the show are open from 10:00 to 18:30, Wednesday to Friday, with a slightly earlier closing time of 18:00 when the show end is signalled by the yachts blowing their horns.
Why is this Event so Exciting for Yacht Crew?
MYS 2024 isn’t just about stunning yachts; it’s also an incredible opportunity for crew members. With so many vessels attending, over 560 exhibitors and industry-leading professionals attending, it is the perfect place to expand our network. Whether you’re looking for new recruitment opportunities, the latest onboard gadgets to impress your guests or eco-friendly solutions for your vessel, there’s no shortage of this. At the same time, you can explore the show and network with other professionals who are exceptionally well-versed in the industry. Besides this, many events are being held during this time – for buyers, brokers, attendees, and crew members. An incredible amount of events benefit the crew, from seminars, breakfasts and lunches, after-work drinks, masterclasses and training.
Event Locations During MYS:
The Captain & Crew Lounge
This year, there is a specialised area just for yacht crew – The Captains and Crew (C&C) Lounge hosted by MYS, offering a space filled with activities, resources, and networking opportunities located next to the Yacht Club de Monaco on Quai Louis II. Even if you’re a visiting crew member without a yacht in the show, you can still join the fun by filling out an online pass request form on their website. It’s the perfect place to take a break, meet fellow crew members, and chat with great marine suppliers, provisioners and other industry professionals. Each day, the C&C Lounge offers exciting activities such as a golf simulator, foosball, BlazePod competitions (for those up for a workout challenge!), raffles, tastings, massages, a hair bar, skincare treatments, and even caricatures! Plus, a full itinerary of events is designed to keep you entertained and informed throughout the show.
ACREW & IMM Business Lounge
This lounge, hosted by ACREW and IMM, is located at the well-known location of La Rascasse at 1 Quai Antoine 1er. This lounge will host various events, some specifically open to ACREW members and others to all yacht crew. The lounge will be set up from 25th – 27th of September, 8:30 – 17:30. For crew, there are some exciting events, including the collection of a delicious grab-and-go lunch bag provided by the fantastic Gourmet Deliveries as well as the MYS kick-off party hosted in conjunction with Liquid YachtWear. Enjoy exclusive networking opportunities, entertainment, and a great way to experience the Monaco Yacht Show.
Event Schedule During MYS:
Just before the Monaco Yacht Show, on the 22nd of September, the Floating Florista Foundation will be hosting a special event: ‘Blooms, Bubbles, and Brunch for Gem’ in Antibes. This day is dedicated to the memory of Gemma, a yacht stewardess who tragically passed away from cervical cancer in 2021. The event kicks off at 11:00 with a two-hour creative workshop hosted by the wonderful Maya Bergstroom of Breezy Blooms, followed by a three-course brunch at 13:15 at the charming Lilian Bonnefoi (2 Place Du Safranier, Antibes). The foundation, inspired by Gemma’s spirit, focuses on raising awareness and offering respite days for cancer patients in Walton on the Naze, a place that brought her peace in her final days. This year’s brunch adds a fun twist with our floral workshop – a chance to get creative while supporting a great cause. If you’re nearby, make sure to join them for an unforgettable experience! You can grab brunch-only tickets (€41) by emailing hello@thefloatingflorista.co.uk, or secure a spot for both the brunch and workshop (€300 – with all proceeds going to the Floating Florista Charity) by contacting hello@breezybloomsstudio.com. So come along, raise a glass, enjoy some blooms, and help support this beautiful cause. After all, who can resist a bit of brunch, bubbles, and creativity?

Final thoughts
Remember to secure your tickets in advance to attend the Monaco Yacht Show. There will be no ticketing or ticket sales on-site, so buy your passes online to receive your digital voucher to scan at the entrance. Passes are typically arranged through the vessel if your yacht is part of the event. However, if your yacht is not participating, you can still enjoy exclusive access by organising a C&C Lounge pass or purchasing a visitor day pass (1, 2 or 3 days) online. Remember that all the events mentioned require booking, so it’s highly recommended you reserve your spot as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as many of them have limited spaces.
