About Gemma

Gemma Hulbert is the visionary behind TYSR. With a wealth of experience in the yachting industry, Gemma is more than just a Chief Stewardess turned entrepreneur. She’s a passionate advocate for community building and a trailblazer in course creation. Her out-of-the-box thinking and commitment to connecting with crew have earned her recognition as a two-time Acrew Awards winner.

Gemma’s dedication to yachting is infectious, and her outlook on the industry is nothing short of inspiring. She’s the anchor that grounds TYSR and the compass that guides us forward.

Taryn

Recruitment Agent

After 8 adventurous years of working on yachts, Taryn decided to return to life on land and joined TYSR in October 2022. She currently lives on the coast of sunny South Africa. Having worked in high-end resorts and hotels, Taryn has a broad knowledge of what the industry needs and is well-qualified to find the perfect match for both crew and the yacht. Taryn’s friendly, kind demeanour and passion for the industry ensure to provide excellent and professional communication with clients and crew at all times.

Recruitment Agent

Following several years at sea on busy charter vessels, Eloise joined the TYSR team in early 2022. Eloise splits her time between sunny South Africa and TYS HQ in the UK and takes the time to connect with clients and crew at all major boat shows globally. She is incredibly caring and ensures all crew and clients get the best possible support, with high standard of customer service. When not working, Eloise is an avid runner, and enjoys time with friends and family enjoying local wine farms.

Brand Manager

With over 8 years of hands-on experience aboard some of the world's most prestigious 100m+ motor yachts, Georgia brings a wealth of yachting knowledge to TYS. Georgia joined the TYS team in late 2023. Originally from the UK, she now calls the picturesque Garden Route in South Africa home. She's not only a seasoned yachting expert but also a marketing and CV specialist. When she's not shaping the TYS brand, you'll find her at the gym, practicing yoga, pilates, or simply enjoying quality time with her dogs.

Originally from South Africa, Chloe began her yachting career in 2018 after completing her Economics degree. After five adventurous years at sea, she has now traded the sea for land, calling Palma home. Chloe’s passion for the industry and excellent people skills shine through in all her interactions and creates a perfect blend of professionalism and relatability. Beyond work, Chloe loves outdoor activities especially golf and cycling, and she loves paying tribute to her passion for travelling.
